AltumView has been named a winner of the Keihanna Expo Global Startup PoC Challenge, part of the prestigious Kyoto Smart City Expo. This large-scale international event, held annually at Keihanna Science City, serves as a global hub for open innovation and cutting-edge smart city advancements.
The challenge focused on Health and Home Accident Prevention, with key areas of development including frailty prevention, early detection of dementia, and fall prevention.

As a winner, AltumView will collaborate with Keihanna Science City to develop a Proof of Concept (PoC) project, which will be showcased at World Expo 2025 in Osaka. The Expo, running from April to October 2025, is expected to draw around 28 million visitors from around the world, providing a global platform for AltumView to demonstrate its innovative solutions.
This award further underscores AltumView’s global leadership in developing privacy-preserving AI technology for human activity monitoring and its impactful applications in many healthcare fields, such as senior care and remote patient monitoring. AltumView’s Sentinare smart activity sensor was also a CES 2021 Innovation Award Honoree, and was one of three fall detection devices in Amazon’s Alexa Together urgent response service.
